Getting Away

On Thursday Andrew and I had the chance to escape parenthood for a few days while grandma and grandpa took over.

What a relaxing, rejuvenating couple of days. Andrew and I went down to Virginia Beach to get away from the hustle and bustle of life to what felt like simplicity. We rented a hotel on the beach front and enjoyed the quiet town, not too many people were hanging out on the beach in Winter.

On Friday we went to Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center. It is a nice Aquarium and we had a fun time watching the 3D Dolphins and Whales. We also went Whale Watching and unfortunately didn't see any whales but we did watch a pod of dolphins out of our hotel window this morning.

it was cold

We also woke up one morning to watch the sunrise from our room. It was quite lovely

Thanks Grandma Dorothy and Grandpa Ken, this was a much needed vacation. I think we will try and make this an annual affair.

Looks like you had a great time. Escape from reality is always nice sometimes. You both deserve a little peace and quiet once and while.
Switzerland is a great place for piece and quiet, if you are interested!
