Presidential Family Fun Day

On Saturday we ventured into the District to the National Portrait Gallery and Smithsonian American Art Museum for a day of fun. There was a schedule of events to celebrate Presidents day.

Here is Andrew, Sophie, Elanor and Grandpa Ken (hidden behind Andrew) on the Metro.
Sophie and Elanor had fun riding the "train".
When we got to the museum the girls were hungry and we sat and ate and listened to The Fifes and Drums of York Town. Here is a little sampling of their music. It was really neat to listen to. These kids are 10-18 years-old.

After we listened to the fifes and drums, we headed over to the crafts section. Here is Elanor posing with her Abe Lincoln hat and beard.

Cupcakes, more than 5,600. It was really neat. This picture was taken from the second floor.
