Virginia Beach

WARNING: long post with lots of pictures, make sure you scroll all the way through to see the cutest pictures.
Last weekend we visited Virginia Beach to see Andrew's sister Sarah, her husband Alan and their cute 1 year-old Elsie. It was a fun little vacation. There was lots of playing, hugging, reading and just having fun.

Sarah meeting Charlotte

Andrew reading to the girls

Alan playing connect 4 thanks to Wendy's for providing games instead of toys.

Saturday we made it to the beach for a couple of hours. It was quite the adventure, not as relaxing as going to the beach minus children.

We survived and Andrew was happy with our coverage of the baby(thank you Costco).

The girls had some frozen custard, quite enjoyable don't you think.

Charlotte gets fingers instead of frozen custard.

Elanor wasn't feeling very good and it was getting a little cold.

Sunday after church we visited Mount Trashmore. The girls had fun playing on the playground but they really had fun at the top of the mount were it is really windy and kites were flown.

Just cuteness.

Looks like a fun trip. It's always a little hard with newborns at the beach since you can't put anything on them...we had the same issue with Ella. Thank goodness for tents! How nice to have family down there...you can go visit the beach multiple times and never pay for a hotel!

if only, they are staying in a 1 bedroom apartment and are leaving the first of June so this was our only trip down.

That picture of Elanor "enjoying" her cone makes me laugh out loud every time I look at it! I'm so glad you guys were able to get together for a few days. :)

And that Charlotte has grown so much! I look forward to seeing her again this summer and basking in her adorable smiles.
