Memorial Day weekend

To start off our Memorial Day weekend, we went to Great Falls Park. The girls really wanted to go to the zoo but I was up for something new.

The girls showing us their pointer finger cause they were just pointing out all the butterflies.

The falls were beautiful.
There are several lookout spots but our favorite was the first one that requires some rock climbing.

Looking out at the falls. Charlotte had a fun time riding on my back and since I had the camera no pictures of us.

Hiking down
Freed! Charlotte enjoyed her time walking around.
Inside the visitor center there was a kid area to do puzzles, color pictures or climb into the kayak.

Charlotte was happy to be in the kayak...
Until Sophie joined her.
Walking around the picnic area where we had our lunch.

Monday was a busy busy day. We did a little cleaning in the morning, then headed over to Lizbeth's for an ice cream tasting party. She made lemon gelato, chocolate, strawberry and vanilla ice creams. My favorite was strawberry, it tasted so good. But the chocolate was so smooth and rich. The lemon gelato was really good too.

After that, Andrew and I went out on a date. We had bought gift cards to the Counter, a burger joint, from our preschools annual silent auction and needed to use them. We may have also gone and purchased a larger TV right after eating. The menu at the Counter was overwhelming (for example you choose your protein from beef, turkey, chicken, veggie and market special, then size, bun or no bun. Just check out the menu). Andrew and I were stuffed but our day was not over yet.

Friends from church invited us to a local fire pit for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. We had a lot of fun even though it was really hot. There was even a deer sighting.

Just to prove that Charlotte was there.

The "oh my" is back again. Elanor is slightly afraid of fire.
