Yellowstone, Day 2

Beckie and my mom prepared a lot for this family vacation. One thing they made were paper dolls using a Cricut cutting machine. My mom and Beckie had a lot of fun making them and the kids had a lot of fun playing with the paper dolls. Themes were princesses, dinosaurs, pirates, native Americans and mermaids.
Here is Elanor playing with some of the dolls.

Our day 2 consisted of finding some hot springs. We parked at the top of an overlook where there were hot springs and hiked down. Unfortunately the water wasn't flowing but the formations were awesome.
Picture of us in front of some of the hot springs.

We finally found one at the bottom with some water flowing.

Since we hiked all the way down and were close to a town, some of us didn't want to hike all the way back up. Kindly Andrew and Beckie with Dragun walked back up to get the cars. The rest of us hung out by the bathrooms and waited their return. When they got down we scarfed down a little food and then wanted to find some place to eat with picnic tables. Boy did we luck out in getting to eat amongst some elk. These guys were just across the street hanging out.

There was more we wanted to see but we also wanted to see an Imax in West Yellowstone about Yellowstone so we headed back. One other sight we saw coming into the park was a bald eagle's nest, it was pretty neat. After dinner we headed to the main hub of West Yellowstone to shop and wait for the Imax. Sophie didn't like the loudness of the movie and Elanor enjoyed it, especially seeing "Bob again (mentioned in day 1 post). After watching the movie we would ask Elanor what was Bob doing, she would say "there are 2 Bob's and he is at work" or something along those lines. It was darn cute.
The town had painted buffalo throughout it so here are some pictures of us with the buffalo.

The day was fun, but tiring. We still have so much to do but little energy and the kids are about done. Stay tuned to see what we did next.
